Gambling is the process when money or anything having material value is wagered with the hope that at the outcome of an uncertain event, additional money or material value can be won. The principle of gambling is based primarily on three aspects – how much money is at stake, what is the predictability of the wager and what are the terms under which the wager is made. Money or material value placed as odds have two kind of predictability. If it is a mechanical or electronic gambling game, the randomness is high and chances to win and to lose cannot be determined by skill alone and one has to rely on luck. In gambling related to sports betting, however, there is slightly improved predictability of the outcome. Moreover gambling is also factored by the number of players involved in a wager and the odds that are agreed upon between the parties.
